This was also inspired by some photos from my father and his trip to Florida every year.

The additions

Watercolor
Old barn in Granby, MA. Used to fish near this old beauty...all closed up and the property was for sale....

Yellow buildings

This is a watercolor of a building on the campus of Amherst College, Amherst, MA....

I embellished the tone a bit...do not know the history, but my wife and I used to walk the campus when we lived there.

Comments?

Birds in space, too.

Watercolor of two water birds. This was inspired by my parents, as they visit Florida every Febuary.
One of my favorite scenes in a movie also inspired this-"Immortal Beloved".....

Bookends

This is a watercolor and graphite painting I made about 4 years ago. It is a section of the North Adams library in MA.
Oil painting on canvas paper. This is a Lutheran Church in the town of Manitowok, Wisconsin. This image is an attempt to show the contrast between the sky and the building. I have also seen this technique used by a few artists. The two colors are opposites on the color wheel.

Please tell me what you think??

Chillon

Oil of a castle my family visited in Switzerland many years ago. Chillon.

One of the many fond memories I have of that year we lived in Bern.

The light

Again, I have tried to create a view if this fantastic, and very famous lighthouse in Maine. This is a view from a boat, my father-in-law takes me out fishing and this is a spot where we usually catch a few mackerel.

Portland Headlight snowing

This is a view from Willard Beach, ME in South Portland. This was the first winter that I had ever experienced in Maine, and there was an incredible snow storm the night before I captured this piece.

Watercolor on paper. 6"X 11"

De Pere Bridge

This is a local bridge-that was demolished last year. A new bridge with 4 lanes of traffic has taken its place over the Fox River.

I have to say, I like the bridge the day that I saw it....it had allot of character. I have several paintings of this piece of the bridge.

This is oil on canvas board.

Trainhouse

Local depot here in Green Bay, WI....is now a fantastic brew pub called Titletown Brewing Co. Love the way the steam from Lake Michigan and the paper plant appear in the early mornings in Winter.
Oil painting- 18"x24"

Marshal's House

Marshal Point Light-this is the house that leads to the light....I think that the house has more character.
oil on canvas- 12"x16"

Victorian Astorian

Watercolor of a Victorian house in Astoria, Oregon. The angle is acurate, as it was taken straight up from the porch.
12"x 9"- watercolor and graphite in paper.

Hupper's House

This is recent oil painting of the house in Hupper's island in Maine. The view is from the beach area. I wanted to show the side of the house which most see from the mainland....and from their boats.

The size is 12"x 16" and is painted on canvas pad.
